Our approach

Good businesses rarely need reinventing. They need stewardship.

Most of the companies we meet are already excellent at the thing they do. What holds them back is seldom the product. It is the layer around it: manual processes, software that stopped fitting a long time ago, or hiring that never caught up with the growth.

We buy companies where we truly believe in the product and service first, then go to work on that pesky systems layer: optimizing operations customized to actual employee workflows, cleaner numbers, more automated data insights, and sharp hiring where needed. The character of the business stays, but the friction goes away.

Our first priority is doing right by the business — our fund doesn't have a clock, and we will support a company to scale to its highest potential. We are long-term thinkers, and are always happy to have a seller keep a portion of equity to be alongside us for the journey.

Where we look

Four sectors, one high standard.

We look for durable businesses we can get excited about, with real customers, healthy margins, and an owner who cares how the story continues. The sector matters less than the quality of what has been built.

Education Services

Tutoring and enrichment, workforce and career training, early childhood, credentialing, and the platforms that support schools and educators.

Healthcare Services

Multi-site outpatient care, behavioral and allied health, home and community-based services, and the back-office platforms that keep providers running.

Industrials

Specialty manufacturing, industrial and facility services, distribution, and the essential businesses that keep infrastructure working.

Technology

Vertical software, data and workflow tools, and IT and managed services, all with recurring revenue and customers who stay for years.

How we operate

Operations is our craft, and we have a playbook.

Let the product lead

The most sustainable growth comes from listening to customers and continuously iterating on products and services to fit their needs. We invest in quality first, then in boots-on-the-ground expansion, rather than spending our way to attention.

Decide with data

Customer patterns, sales results, the pain points of daily operations. We use data to find what is already working before we change anything, not to justify changing everything.

Build the team

We hire people who share our vision and have the expertise to help the business grow, while preserving the culture that made the business worth buying. We want passionate, intelligent, and kind people on the team with us.

Grow patiently

Compounding does the heavy lifting: steady organic growth, new locations where they earn their keep, and thoughtful add-ons when the fit is genuine.

What we stand for

Five values we hold onto, always.

Human first

Treat people right. The people are the company — everything else is downstream of that.

Cultivate curiosity

Explore the unknown. Stay a student of the business, especially the parts we did not build.

Attention to detail

Get every detail right. Measure twice, cut once.

Solutions-oriented

Focus on the path forward. Obstacles are information, not verdicts.

Execution is everything

Ideas are cheap and plans are easy. At the end of the day, execution is what matters.

Who we are

Two operators, one company at a time.

We are not a committee. The people you meet are the people who will run the business, and we understand family business more than anything.

For business owners

What working with us looks like.

01How you'll hear from us
Mostly through a direct conversation. We reach out to owners ourselves, work with brokers and intermediaries we trust, and rely on referrals from people who know us. There is no auction and no cattle call. If we get in touch, it is because we have already spent time understanding what you have built.
02What we look for
Steady or recurring revenue, a real customer base, and a team we would be glad to work alongside. Location is flexible. Above all we are asking one question: would this still be a good business in ten years?
03How a process runs
Discreetly and at a pace that respects your time. An introductory call, a short set of financial questions, then a written offer before we ask for anything burdensome. You will always know what the next step is and roughly how long it will take.
04What happens after closing
Both of us step into the business full-time. We keep the name, the team, and the things that make the company work. The first six months are mostly spent listening, then we invest in systems, hiring, and growth. We plan to hold for at least three to six years, and are flexible to hold indefinitely if we can keep growing the company.
